The humans Khrys and his bodyguard Mailan knew the rumors about someone buying off the noble houses of Chorelous but who and why? Morl, a halfling pickpocket and his half-elf monk friend Pheck manage to steal some documents from a mark in the market place but what do the papers say? San'Khan, an elf whore, kills her most consistent and high paying client because the scrolls he had said that he was part of an undead coup that was coming to take over the city. Now the five of them and San'Khan's gnome flatmate, Mist, must run for their lives as well as raise an army to come back and defend their beloved city. What happens when they fall in love, find a cursed village, and realize they are more than they thought they were -both individually and together?
But more importantly, who are they running from to ultimately return to and fight against?
